About the EMC Method™

The EMC Method™ (Evidence-based Movement Clearance) is built on a simple, powerful truth: preserving your physical independence shouldn't require complex medical jargon, cloud data tracking, or expensive subscriptions. It should belong to you.

The science behind our 30-second checks is anchored in the foundational work of Dr. Roberta Rikli and Dr. Jessie Jones, whose peer-reviewed research established the gold standard for functional lower-body strength testing.

A Journey of Resilience & Dedication

This app is deeply personal. It is dedicated to:

My children (my daughter and son), who walked this journey with me from the very beginning.
My mother, whose presence anchors our three-generation commitment to lifelong vitality and health.
My husband (the "C" in EMC), for his steadfast partnership and support.
My children's great-grandmother, whose strength, grace, and support carried me through my lowest moments before I ever made the journey to the United States.
Kim Osborne, PT, DPT, OCS, my mentor and former boss at Therapy Services Associates, who believed in me, petitioned for my journey from the Philippines when I was a single mother, and opened the door of a lifetime that allowed me to build a decades-long clinical career as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

This is more than a daily habit tracker—it is a tribute to resilience, science, and the people who made it possible, so that you can keep doing the things you love every single day.
